The Challenge

Managing Extremely Large and Continuous Data Streams: Energy Impact required a system capable of handling large scale, constantly growing datasets. The platform needed to process millions of energy readings in real time and provide accurate calculations, insights, and alerts.

Predicting Usage with and without Historical Data: Traditional forecasting depends on past behaviour. Energy Impact needed a more advanced approach that could also generate predictions for new clients with no historical profile, requiring sophisticated modelling and comparative benchmarking.

SECR and Corporate Compliance: Large organisations needed detailed carbon impact reporting. The system had to generate fully compliant SECR reports with flexible conversion factors for various fuel types, including electric and gas.

Customer Communication Management: Energy Impact needed a unified way to communicate with clients, store emails, detect attachments, and manage all correspondence alongside energy data.

Integration with Microsoft Outlook: The system needed to integrate with Microsoft Outlook to support email workflows, attachment scanning, and proper storage within the CRM.
